Tori Parrott, CPYB; President
I joined Signature Yachts in 2002 following a 2 1/2 year sailing trip New Zealand and the South Pacific. At the time, I thought I would try my hand at selling boats for a couple of years and now 18 years later, I’m still learning and excited about helping people find the right boat to fulfill their sailing dreams. Sailing and boating have always been an important part of my life, beginning early in the Puget Sound area and offshore. I grew up aboard a Hallberg-Rassy 41 that my family sailed for 2 years from Seattle to the Caribbean in the late 70s. My father was an airline pilot and the benefit of his job was travel and the ability to live anywhere in the world. As a result, I grew up in Portugal for 5 years while my dad commuted to New York and following our boat trip in 1979 my two brothers and I attended boarding school for 3 years in the West of England while my parents were living in Berlin Germany. Following Millfield, I chose to come back to the US for college and graduated with a degree in Geography from Dartmouth College. I was captain of both the field hockey and lacrosse teams and didn’t get back into sailing until my return to Seattle after graduation. Sailing has continued to be my focus for the last 30 years; I owned “Sea Fever”, a 1956 Ben Seaborn 51’ custom sloop built right here on Lake Union with my brother for 24 years. After sailing her throughout our beautiful local waters for five years, the prospect of more offshore adventures inspired me to outfit “Sea Fever” and set off for New Zealand and the South Pacific for 2 1/2 years. I continued to sail here throughout the Northwest and BC exploring and sharing my experiences with other hoping to do the same. In January 2020 following the passing on my dear friend and mentor, Robbie Robinson I took over the helm of Signature Yachts and I look forward to assisting you in any way with your next sailing adventure.
