Robbie Robinson, founder of Signature Yachts, started sailing in El Toro’s as well as fishing with family in Hawaii at age five. He enjoyed owning a succession of racing and cruising sailboats, a couple of powerboats and a remote Inside Passage cruising aboard a Nordhavn 46 Trawler with partner, Cesar Quirino, and family and friends. For many years they enjoyed cruising with Rumor, the ever curious Siamese who thought it was her boat and they were her crew. She’s passed away and will always be missed.
Robbie loved sailing (kayaking, hiking and racing) up the spectacular British Columbia coast and mixing it up with the team while sailing in the Caribbean. He had sailed from Alaska to Mexico, Chesapeake to the Caribbean and the Mediterranean in addition to his naval service aboard the aircraft carrier USS Eisenhower throughout the world. He had a blast coaching junior sailing and running high school sailing camps sailing with 15 students aboard for week long trips up the British Columbia Coast as well as Chesapeake and the Bahamas. Robbie had the education, practical boat building and cruising experience needed to help create a new cruising yacht that is suitable to meet your desires. While still a university student and Nordic Yachts Intern, Robbie founded Performance Yachts, representing Catalina, Nordic, Island Packet and Island Gypsy Yachts in Bellingham and Portland, Oregon. After selling that dealership he moved to Seattle to create Signature Yachts. Signature Yachts had since become Seattle’s premier new sailing yacht dealership by representing Amel Cruising Yachts, Beneteau Oceanis, First Series and Fountaine Pajot Catamarans.
