Every great company has a story, and Signature Yachts is no exception. Our history is a testament to passion, expertise, and a deep love for life on the water. It all began with Robbie Robinson, a man whose sailing journey started in his youth and led him to create a lasting legacy in the Pacific Northwest boating community.
The Early Days and the Birth of a Vision
After serving in the Navy, Robbie returned to the Northwest, where he pursued his education and his passion. In 1986, he co-founded a sailboat dealership, which he later took full ownership of, eventually renaming it Signature Yachts. In 1993, he moved the business to its current home on Seattle’s vibrant Lake Union, a perfect hub for boaters.
Navigating Challenges and Building a Community
Robbie's journey wasn't without its challenges. He steered the company through various economic ups and downs, always ensuring its growth and endurance. In 2003, a significant milestone was reached when Signature Yachts acquired a competitor, Greathouse Yachts, which brought the prestigious Beneteau brand into our lineup.
But for Robbie, it was never just about business. He believed in a balance of hard work and fun, often taking his employees on trips to boat shows, ski resorts, and production lines. This commitment to his team and his clients helped build a strong community that has been a hallmark of Signature Yachts.
The Legacy Continues
While Robbie's vision laid the foundation, the story of Signature Yachts continues today under the guidance of co-owners Tori Parrott and Dixie McCullough. They are the "beneficiaries and guardians" of Robbie’s enviable reputation and legacy, committed to upholding the same values that have made Signature Yachts a trusted name for decades.
Today, we continue to serve the boating community from our location at 2476 Westlake Avenue North, carrying on a tradition of excellence and a passion for helping people find their perfect vessel.
